The Personal Development Center is a private, non-profit agency providing case management, advocacy, and prevention education to individuals and families in the Marshfield, Wisconsin area. Having served the community since 1977, the agency has a history of identifying and addressing needs within an atmosphere of confidentiality and concern.

The Personal Development Center, Inc. is guided by a Board of Directors representing area businesses, service providers, the medical community, individuals, and organizations.

Personal Development Center, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to creating a community free from the threat of violence. We recognize that the violence perpetrated against victims is grounded in an abuse of power and reinforced through intimidation and coercion. Our mission is to assist those in distress by identifying options and resources, promoting safety, building hope, and strengthening individuals, families, and our community through case management, advocacy and education.

14th Annual Sheltering Hearts Mardi Gras

Money raised to help those impacted by darkness.

The Personal Development Center Inc. (PDC) is announcing its 14th annual “Sheltering Hearts” fundraising event to be held Thursday, Feb. 8, from 5:30-9:30 p.m. at RiverEdge Golf Course.

This event will support domestic violence services and preventative programming in the Greater Marshfield and Clark County areas. The mission of PDC is to assist those in destress by identifying options and resources, promoting safety, building hope, and strengthening individuals, families, and our community through case management, advocacy, and education.

Sheltering Hearts committee member Kristina Howey, who has volunteered at the event for the last seven years and served on the committee the last 4, said, "This evening goes beyond dollars raised. This organization preserves the future of those whom they serve, and these dollars raised are an investment back in to the health of our communities.”

Tickets are $35 dollars per person in advance and $45 dollars after February 5th, while reserved tables of 8 are $240. There will be a plethora of silent auction items for your bidding pleasure ranging from jewelry, wine packages, pottery, and so much more. There is an exciting lineup of live auction items this year including a WI Supper Club tour, Slice of Heaven package, and even Scotty’s for a year!

Patrons will also enjoy a Cajun family-style dinner.
